

Senior ETL/Database Developer,:Location: Sacramento, CA (Hybrid – Onsite Work Required)
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Drupal Developer to support a modernization project replacing HCL Web Content Manager (WCM) and HCL Connections with a Drupal 10-based platform hosted in AWS (ECS Fargate). The role requires full-stack expertise, including backend architecture, frontend theming, accessibility, and CI/CD integration. The developer will collaborate with DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders to create a secure, performant, and intuitive user experience across multiple applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize scalable backend functionality in Drupal 10.
Implement Group module-based access control using F5 APM role mapping.
Design and expose content via RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
Migrate content from HCL WCM and Connections via custom ETL workflows.
Integrate Amazon S3 for secure document storage using Drupal Media entities.
Support multi-site architecture with dynamic content structures.
Contribute to Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated deployments.
Build responsive, accessible Drupal UIs using Twig, SCSS, and Layout Builder.
Customize UI/UX for group-based collaboration and dynamic content templates.
Ensure compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
Leverage Drupal Views, Menus, Media Library, and field UI for structured content organization.
Collaborate with UX designers, integrating design mockups from Figma.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, working closely with cross-functional teams.
Assist with UAT, stakeholder feedback integration, and mentoring junior developers.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience:
7+ years of experience in Drupal backend development, including entity/field APIs and routing.
5+ years of experience in Drupal frontend development, covering Twig, SCSS, Layout Builder, and custom theming.
Experience in at least two projects using Drupal 9 or 10.
Expertise in Drupal Group module, Media entities, and configuration management (e.g., Config Split).
Strong understanding of OAuth-based SSO, role mapping, and F5 header integration.
Integration experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, ECS, CloudFront, Secrets Manager).
Proficiency in Composer, Drush, Git, and Jenkins pipelines.
Ability to meet 508/WCAG accessibility standards.
Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies and UX design tools like Figma.
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Developer Associate or Solutions Architect).
Acquia Certified Drupal Developer (or equivalent certification).
Experience with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53 compliance requirements.
Background modernizing legacy systems like WebSphere Portal, WCM, or Connections.
Prior experience working on Federal Government projects or CMS contracts.
