Role description
The Field Analysis and Operations role will be a core member of the commercial operations team, reporting to the Sr. Director, Commercial Operations. The individual will either lead or contribute to all things analysis, deployment, and enablement across our 4 non-sales commercial field teams. More specifically, the day to day will include sub-national analysis, communication between field teams and HQ, and leadership stakeholder engagement to help drive key levers for the growth of the business and the needs of the patients we serve.
Core Responsibilities
β’ Partner with field and commercial operations leadership to prioritize, plan, and execute sub-national analytics to support business planning, quarterly business reviews, and operational reporting.
β’ Develop and manage project plans for key operational activities including but not limited to metrics and analytics, targeting (static and dynamic), customer and team alignments, VEEVA strategy, and other operational priorities (e.g. car program, RxVantage).
β’ Leads internal customer and field excellence planning process β partnering closely with field and functional leadership from a data and analytics standpoint to execute an ongoing, comprehensive assessment of our field capabilities and opportunities across deployment and enablement channels
β’ Leveraging themes/trends identified through the above efforts, this role will prioritize, develop, lead and execute impactful initiatives through coordination with cross-functional partners (training, marketing, etc)
Additional Responsibilities
β’ Initial point of contact with field team on data inquiries, conducting triage analysis and directing to appropriate partners when escalation is needed
β’ Collaborate with IT/IS on VEEVA integration requirements and other system interfaces to ensure seamless data flow
β’ Manage projects through external vendors as needed
β’ HQ-based experience a strong advantage
β’ Proficient with MS Office
β’ Clear, open and honest communicator
β’ Ability to lead with trust, and influence positive business outcomes without direct authority
β’ Experience with third-party syndicated data assets (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony, Komodo) and/or other secondary sources such as specialty pharmacy, specialty distributor, copay, and lab data
β’ Experience managing projects involving cross-functional teams
β’ Oncology or Rare Disease Experience Preferred
β’ Experience using BI tools such as Tableau is a plus along with VEEVA CRM
β’ Fluency in using the Microsoft Office Suite especially report & model development in Excel and crafting slide presentations in PowerPoint
β’ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail
β’ Operational driver with the ability to successfully meld business acumen with technical prowess
β’ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
β’ Demonstrated ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs and develop technical requirements
β’ Strong customer-focused mindset with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization

β’ 5-7 years of commercial pharmaceutical or biotech experience; preferably, 2-4 years of commercial experience in operational areas (i.e. commercial operations, training, marketing) OR 7+ years of Life science consulting experience in commercial strategy and implementation
