Role Overview
BEPC, Inc. is seeking a Senior Full Stack Gen AI Engineer to support our client’s AI Engineering Team in Plano, TX. This is a senior-level, hybrid position offering the chance to lead AI-driven innovation within a globally recognized organization.
The ideal candidate is an accomplished software engineer with expertise in Python, Java, and CI/CD pipelines, combined with hands-on experience in GenAI tools, frameworks, and AWS services. You will design, prototype, and deploy secure, scalable GenAI applications leveraging LLMs, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and multimodal AI models.
This is an opportunity to shape the future of AI architecture—building intelligent systems that integrate with enterprise platforms while ensuring responsible AI practices and measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
• Architect & Build: Design and implement scalable GenAI architectures using LLMs, multimodal models, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques.
• Model Development: Fine-tune foundation models using domain-specific data; apply prompt engineering, instruction tuning, and RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback).
• Integration: Incorporate AI capabilities into enterprise platforms using APIs, SDKs, and orchestration tools like LangChain, LlamaIndex, and OpenAI/Anthropic frameworks.
• AI Performance: Optimize model latency, cost, and performance through quantization, distillation, and caching strategies.
• Responsible AI: Implement methods for bias detection, hallucination mitigation, and AI explainability.
• Collaboration: Work with architects, product teams, and engineers to influence platform architecture and AI testing frameworks (RAGAS, DeepEval).
• Innovation & Experimentation: Stay current on emerging AI trends; evaluate and integrate new models, agents, and frameworks to advance AI capability.
• Compliance: Ensure solutions align with data privacy, security, and export control requirements.
• Prototyping: Lead proofs of concept and solution evaluations for new GenAI and cloud-based initiatives.
• Documentation: Contribute to reusable patterns, architectural guidance, and system documentation for enterprise-scale use.
Required Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience:
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and full-stack development.
• 5–6 years of hands-on experience with Java/Python, CI/CD pipeline creation, and microservices-based architectures.
• 2–3+ years of GenAI frameworks and tools experience (LLMs, vector databases, LangChain, Bedrock, etc.).
• Technical Expertise:
• Proven success building and deploying GenAI applications in production.
• Strong command of Python, Java, and modern frameworks (Transformers, LangChain, Hugging Face).
• Experience with LLMs, embeddings, and vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate).
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services (SageMaker, Bedrock, Comprehend, Lex).
• Skilled in cloud-native architectures, microservices, APIs, and event-driven systems.
• Proficiency in MLflow, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex AI concepts for diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications: AWS AI/ML certification.
• Industry Experience: Background in Financial Services or other enterprise-level environments.
• Familiarity with:
• GenAI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or Bedrock.
• AI testing frameworks like RAGAS and DeepEval.
Interview Process
• Round 1 (MS Teams): 30-minute technical screening.
• Round 2 (Onsite): 1-hour interview (may include a coding exercise).
