We're seeking a Senior Healthcare Informatics Analyst – Pharmacy Analytics to join a collaborative team focused on improving medication utilization, supporting population health initiatives, and optimizing pharmacy spend.
In this role, you'll partner closely with Pharmacy, Clinical, Finance, Actuarial, and IT leaders to deliver analytics that influence strategic decisions across the organization. You'll leverage tools such as Databricks, SQL, and SAS to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and provide recommendations that improve both patient outcomes and operational performance.
What You'll Do:
As a senior member of the analytics team, you will serve as a trusted partner to stakeholders across the business, helping transform healthcare data into meaningful insights and measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze pharmacy claims, utilization patterns, medication adherence, and drug cost data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and advanced analytical solutions that support strategic business initiatives.
• Partner with Pharmacy, Clinical, Finance, Actuarial, and IT teams to solve complex business problems using data-driven insights.
• Support formulary management, pharmacy utilization management, and medication adherence programs through analytics and reporting.
• Utilize Databricks, SQL, SAS, and enterprise data sources to deliver actionable business intelligence.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to business leaders and executive stakeholders.
• Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and consistency across multiple data sources.
• Support population health, value-based care, and pharmacy quality initiatives.
• Identify cost drivers, utilization trends, and opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce pharmacy expenditures.
• Drive process improvement through automation, reporting enhancements, and innovative analytical solutions.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Pharmacy, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of healthcare analytics experience.
• Experience working within a healthcare payer, managed care, health plan, or related healthcare environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Databricks
• SQL
• SAS
• Experience analyzing large healthcare datasets, including healthcare claims data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
