Role description
We are seeking an experienced Apache Iceberg / Data Lakehouse Support Engineer to support and maintain enterprise-scale Lakehouse environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Apache Iceberg, Spark SQL, Hive, and distributed data processing, along with experience in production support, performance optimization, and large-scale data management.
Required Experience
• 5+ years of experience supporting Big Data platforms and Data Lake/Lakehouse environments.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Iceberg and/or Hive-based Data Lakes.
• Experience providing production support, incident management, troubleshooting, and operational support.
• Strong knowledge of Spark SQL, Hive, Impala, Trino, and Apache NiFi.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets (TB/PB scale).
• Support and maintain Apache Iceberg tables and Lakehouse environments.
• Perform table optimization, maintenance, and performance tuning.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents.
• Apply established data modeling and Lakehouse (Medallion Architecture) standards.
