Role description
Company – Our esteemed client is a respected engineering and technology services organization specializing in industrial automation, digital transformation, and enterprise integration. Job Title – Senior Ignition Integrator
Location – Hybrid in Lafayette, LA (primarily in-office with flexibility). Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to the Lafayette area.
Role Type – Contract-to-Hire (6 months)
Must Have Skills:
• Ignition Gold Certification strongly preferred (Ignition Core Certification required at minimum; candidates pursuing Gold should be prepared to discuss current progress and expected completion).
• Senior-level, hands-on Ignition development experience with active design, scripting, implementation, and troubleshooting expertise.
• Strong solution architecture and consulting experience, including migration planning, system design, and evaluating whether to enhance or redesign existing solutions.
• Oil & Gas SCADA experience with enterprise-level backend development, integrations, scripting, and architecture (not solely field operations experience).
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers through technical leadership while remaining an individual contributor.
Responsibilities and Job Details:
• Design, develop, and implement enterprise SCADA and Ignition solutions for Oil & Gas customers.
• Consult with clients to assess existing environments and recommend migration strategies and technical solutions.
• Architect scalable, maintainable automation and integration solutions tailored to customer requirements.
• Develop backend scripting, integrations, and enterprise-level applications using the Ignition platform.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout project planning, implementation, and delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers through hands-on collaboration and technical guidance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality integration projects from concept through deployment.
• Participate in customer-facing engagements and provide technical expertise throughout project lifecycles.
• Travel approximately 25% to support client implementations and consulting engagements.
• Thrive in a collaborative engineering culture that values technical curiosity, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
