We’re Hiring: IT Business Analyst – Utilities (EGI Program)
Industry: Electric Utilities / Energy
Contract Duration - 12 Months with potential Extension/W2
We are hiring an experienced IT Business Analyst to support large-scale electric utility technology initiatives. This role requires deep utility industry experience, with a strong focus on Electric Generation Interconnection (EGI) and Work & Asset Management programs.
Industry Background – Must Have
• Experience working within electric utilities or similar energy providers
• Strong knowledge of Asset & Work Management in a utility environment
• Hands-on experience with Electric Generation Interconnection (EGI) programs
• Solid understanding of utility work management processes, from customer request through electric grid interconnection
• Experience with SAP Work & Asset Management, supporting:
• Electric Distribution
• Transmission
• Substation
Good to Have
• Power Generation experience (Hydro, Electric, or similar)
• SAP Field Service Management (FSM) module – very strong plus

Key Responsibilities
• Manage one or more medium to large, complex IT projects with defined scope, timeline, budget, and performance objectives
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather, analyze, validate, and prioritize requirements
• Lead requirement workshops, interviews, and reviews across cross-functional teams
• Translate business needs into clear functional requirements for delivery teams
• Manage requirements throughout the full project lifecycle, including change management
• Support solution selection, QA validation, and end-to-end testing efforts
• Communicate effectively with project sponsors, stakeholders, and senior leadership
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience working in Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum environments
• Strong background in business and technical requirements analysis
• Ability to lead discussions and influence decision-making with senior stakeholders
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with MS Visio, Excel, PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of SQL
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration
• Prior experience supporting Electric Generation Interconnection (EGI) programs
• Experience with Electric Distribution, Transmission, and Substation asset and work management
• Proven ability to lead large-scale technology or business process transformation initiatives
