Role description
Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a Senior Java / Spark Cloud Developer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Java / Spark Cloud Developer, you will be an integral part of the Software Development Department supporting innovative cloud-based solutions. Job Title: Senior Java / Spark Cloud Developer Location: New York, NY Pay Range:$75/hour, w2 What's the Job? โ€ข Design and develop Spark Java and Spring Boot cloud applications for SPDJI systems. โ€ข Participate in multiple software development processes including coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. โ€ข Create software applications based on clear business specifications to support organizational goals. โ€ข Support existing Index applications and work on new initiatives to enhance system capabilities. โ€ข Perform application and system performance tuning, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance. What's Needed? โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. โ€ข 8+ years of experience in application development and support within IT environments. โ€ข Strong proficiency in Core Java, Spring, and Spark technologies. โ€ข Experience with REST APIs, AWS cloud services (EC2, EMR, Lambda, S3, Glue), and NoSQL databases like MongoDB. โ€ข Hands-on experience with RDBMS databases, ActiveMQ, and familiarity with application performance tuning.
