Role description
Senior Martech Business Analyst (Hospitality focused)
Location: Chicago, IL (Remote)
Type: 6+ Month Contract
Note: This is a remote role with the client based in Chicago, IL. This would be working close to CST time zone.
Responsibilities: This individual will partner with Marketing, Digital, Analytics, and Technology teams to translate business needs into scalable marketing technology solutions and process improvements. This role is responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, evaluating current-state workflows, identifying optimization opportunities, and supporting the delivery of capabilities across the martech ecosystem.
Required skills:
β’ Bachelorβs Degree with 5+ years as a Business Analyst supporting marketing technology, digital marketing, CRM, loyalty, or customer data initiatives
β’ Hands-on experience gathering requirements, documenting business processes, and translating needs into actionable user stories and functional specifications
β’ Experience working with martech platforms such as CRM, CDP, CMS, tag management, campaign automation, analytics, or personalization tools
β’ Understanding of customer data flows, segmentation, campaign execution, digital measurement, and systems integration concepts
β’ Experience supporting Agile delivery methods, sprint ceremonies, backlog management, and user acceptance testing
β’ Ability to work independently, manage multiple workstreams, and influence cross-functional teams
β’ Demonstrate integrity and maturity, and a constructive approach to challenges
β’ Experience with enterprise marketing platforms such as Braze, Amperity, Adobe Experience Cloud, Tealium, or similar tools highly preferred
β’ Familiarity with SQL, dashboarding/reporting tools, or data visualization platforms to support analysis and validation
β’ Experience in hospitality, travel, loyalty, e-commerce, or customer experience environments
β’ Knowledge of API-based integrations, tagging frameworks, consent/privacy considerations, and data governance practices
β’ Experience supporting vendor management, implementation projects, or platform optimization efforts
