Role : Senior Microsoft Power BI Developer
Location: Remote (Preference for candidates located near Rosslyn, VA for occasional on-site collaboration)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft Power BI Developer to join a mission-driven team supporting a high-profile initiative. The role is primarily remote, with occasional on-site collaboration preferred for candidates near Rosslyn, VA.
You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying impactful business intelligence solutions using Power BI, Power Platform, and related Microsoft technologies.
πΉ Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
β’ Create and optimize data models, define relationships, and implement DAX/M queries
β’ Implement row-level security (RLS) and access control policies
β’ Develop and manage Power BI Dataflows, Datamarts, and Paginated Reports
β’ Integrate Power BI with Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, and SharePoint
β’ Perform data transformation and ETL using tools like SQL Server and Oracle
β’ Administer and monitor Power BI environments (e.g., Gateways, performance optimization)
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
β’ Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
β’ Document solutions and participate in BI tool adoption and best practice discussions
Required Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field
β’ OR
β’ PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Certification (or equivalent)
β’ 8+ years of progressive experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data management
β’ 4+ years of hands-on development with Microsoft Power BI
β’ Proficiency in DAX, M queries, and Power BI Desktop
β’ Strong experience in data modeling, Power BI Service deployments, and administration
β’ Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and governance principles
β’ Hands-on with SQL and one or more platforms: SQL Server, Oracle, Azure SQL, etc.
β’ Working knowledge of scripting (e.g., SQL, Python, or SAS)
β’ Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
πΉ Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Familiarity with federal data security policies
β’ Experience with predictive and prescriptive analytics
β’ Demonstrated leadership in BI solution design and delivery
