Senior Oracle Database Administrator 12 Months Oakland, CA 94612 • • Local Candidate Only - No Relocation • • Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator to lead the administration, engineering, modernization, and optimization of enterprise Oracle database environments. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, performance tuning, large-scale data migrations, and database automation. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing highly available Oracle database platforms supporting business-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, automation expertise, and experience managing multi-terabyte databases within complex enterprise ecosystems. The role aligns with enterprise Oracle environments that leverage RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, automation, and large-scale databases. Job Responsibilities • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Grid Infrastructure, RAC, ASM, and Clusterware environments. • Design and support highly available Oracle database architectures utilizing RAC and Data Guard technologies. • Perform database provisioning, patching, cloning, upgrades, and lifecycle management. • Design, implement, and maintain Oracle Data Guard configurations. • Perform advanced Oracle performance tuning at database, SQL, RAC, ASM, and operating system levels. • Optimize SQL execution plans, partitioning strategies, and workload management. • Troubleshoot RAC interconnect, cluster, locking, and contention issues. • Manage schema upgrades and cross-environment data synchronization activities. • Perform data conversions and database re-platforming initiatives. • Engineer secure data transfer mechanisms utilizing Transportable Tablespaces (TTS), Data Pump (EXPDP/IMPDP), and advanced migration methodologies. • Design and manage data conversion, transformation, and database engineering solutions. • Install, configure, and administer Oracle GoldenGate 26AI Microservices architecture. • Develop GoldenGate Extracts, Replicats, Distribution Services, and Performance Metrics. • Troubleshoot replication lag, data inconsistency, and integration issues. • Implement encryption technologies including TDE, SSL certificates, and encrypted data transport mechanisms. • Implement and maintain advanced partitioning strategies including range, interval, reference, and composite partitioning. • Design Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) solutions. • Design and maintain storage optimization, archival, and data retention policies. • Support advanced Oracle object administration and schema engineering. • Develop and maintain advanced Shell, SQL, and PL/SQL scripts. • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation solutions using Ansible. • Automate database deployment, monitoring, patching, and maintenance activities. • Support UC4 workload automation where applicable. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline. • 10+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience in large enterprise environments. • Extensive hands-on experience with: Oracle 19c Administration: Oracle 19c RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure, Data Guard, Golden Gate 26ai, RMAN, OEM, AIX, LINUX, High Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures, Ansible Automation and Infrastructure as Code. • Strong expertise in: Database performance tuning, SQL and PL/SQL development, Shell scripting, Large-scale database migrations Preferred Qualifications • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM). • Experience with Oracle GoldenGate 26AI Microservices. • Knowledge of Database Migration Services (DMS). • Experience with UC4 workload automation solutions.--
