Senior Oracle EBS Database Engineer

Senior Oracle EBS Database Engineer 12+ Month Contract, Cleveland OH Overview We’re looking for a Senior Oracle EBS Database Engineer who will own the reliability, security, and performance of Oracle databases that power Oracle E‑Business Suite (R12). You’ll design standards, manage patching and upgrades (e.g., 19c/Autonomous DB), tune performance, and support backup/recovery and disaster recovery. You’ll collaborate closely with application developers, analysts, and operations to keep critical business systems stable and fast. Key responsibilities • Design and develop database management systems, standards, guidelines and quality assurance for database deliverables. • Patch and maintain database systems for optimal security and supportability • Document and communicate database designs to relevant stakeholders and analyze the impact of the data architecture • Code complex programs and develop logical processes on technical platforms. • Participate in quality assurance by developing and testing database code in client server environments. • Adapt business requirements and develop data, database specifications, and table and element attributes for applications. • Develop an understanding of the organization's data and storage mechanisms and assist with capacity planning. • Determine appropriateness of data for storage and optimum storage organization. • Determine how tables relate to each other and how fields interact within the tables for a relational model. • Work with stakeholder to define the database Disaster Recovery plan, database back-up, recovery and archiving strategy Knowledge & Experience • 4-6 years of experience in database engineering and administration • Knowledge and experience with database design, implementation, documentation, and management • Experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite R12 • Experience with Oracle relational databases, including version 19c and/or Autonomous Database Service • Experience with query and coding languages (such as SQL, PL/SQL, Python) • Knowledge and experience in database performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and data security practices • Ability to deal with large pool of data often unstructured coming from disparate sources EEO Statement Eight Eleven Group provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, citizenship, disability, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
