Role description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Oracle PL SQL Developer to join our data management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions that support our enterprise data warehouse and analytics initiatives. This role requires expertise in PL SQL, Oracle, ETL processes, and a strong understanding of big data technologies. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions, optimize database performance, and support data-driven decision-making.
Duties
Develop, test, and implement complex PL SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and packages to support business requirements.
Design and optimize database schemas for data warehouses and large-scale data systems.
Build and maintain ETL workflows
Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to facilitate model training, analysis skills development, and insights extraction.
Develop RESTful APIs for seamless data access and integration across applications.
Participate in Agile development processes to deliver iterative enhancements on time.
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues related to SQL queries or system bottlenecks.
Assist in database design efforts ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with best practices.
Support cloud migration initiatives involving cloud services like Azure Data Lake or similar platforms.
Qualifications
Demonstrated skills and experience developing and supporting applications anchored in Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL and be open to newer implementations and different/emerging technologies including cloud and AI.
At least 5 yrs experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development including packages, procedures, functions, materialized views, and remote transactions in Windows and Linux environment.
At least 3 yrs experience with SQL Server and T-SQL development including procedures and functions
Experience writing web service calls and performing application to database integration
Experience with working for federal clients
Proven ability to communicate with stakeholders with varying levels of technical understanding
Proven Ability to support multiple efforts concurrently
Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
Ability to work within Agile teams with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; relevant certifications are preferred.
Pay: $51.64 - $62.19 per hour
