Role description
Role: Senior Palantir Foundry Engineer Location: USA Remote Role Summary We are looking for a highly experienced Palantir Foundry Engineer with approximately 10 years of total data engineering and analytics experience to design, build, and operate enterprise‑scale data platforms and operational analytics solutions using Palantir Foundry. The role requires strong ownership of Foundry implementations, close collaboration with US‑based stakeholders, and leadership in delivering production‑grade data products. Key Responsibilities Palantir Foundry Development • Design, build, and maintain end‑to‑end data pipelines on Palantir Foundry. • Hands‑on development using Foundry Code Repos, Pipelines, Ontology, Workshops, Contour, Slate. • Develop data transformations and logic using Python, SQL, and PySpark. • Build operational and analytical applications on Foundry for business users. • Define and implement Ontology‑driven data models for reusable and governed data products. Data Engineering & Integration • Integrate data from enterprise sources including databases, APIs, flat files, and cloud storage. • Implement data quality, validation, and observability frameworks within Foundry. • Design scalable and performant data models for operational and analytical use cases. Security, Governance & Compliance • Enforce data security, access controls, and governance using Foundry’s security model. • Ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory requirements (HIPAA / SOX / SOC2 – as applicable). Performance & Reliability • Optimize Foundry pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. • Monitor pipelines, troubleshoot failures, and proactively improve SLAs. Collaboration & Leadership • Work closely with US‑based product owners, architects, analysts, and stakeholders. • Translate business requirements into Foundry solutions. • Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and best‑practice implementations. • Mentor junior Foundry engineers and contribute to reusable accelerators. Required Skills & Experience Mandatory • Strong hands‑on Palantir Foundry experience in production programs. • Expertise in Python, SQL, PySpark. • Solid background in data engineering, analytics platforms, and data architecture (~10 years). • Deep knowledge of Foundry Pipelines, Ontology, Code Repos, Security Model. • Experience delivering solutions for large enterprise or regulated clients. Nice to Have • Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP cloud platforms. • Exposure to CI/CD, Git, DevOps practices in data engineering. • Experience with ML workflows or advanced analytics on Foundry. • Prior client‑facing experience in BFSI, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Retail, or Public Sector. Soft Skills • Excellent verbal and written communication for US stakeholders. • Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking. • Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team. • Leadership mindset with ownership and accountability. Seniority Expectations (10‑Year Profile) • Has led or owned multiple Palantir Foundry implementations end‑to‑end. • Acts as Technical Lead / Solution Owner for Foundry programs. • Comfortable engaging with client architects, data leaders, and executives. • Drives quality, governance, and long‑term platform vision.
