Role description
Location/Remote: 100% Remote (must live within the U.S.)
Employment Type: 12-month Contract (W-2).
Compensation: Up to $115/hour (commensurate with experience)
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, LTD/STD, HSA/FSA, term life, and supplemental health insurances (e.g., Aflac) for all employees (and their families if needed)
This contract role delivers end-to-end Palantir Foundry solutions, with a strong emphasis on Foundry Ontology design and forward-deployed ownership. You will translate real operational problems into scalable domain models, pipelines, and applications that drive measurable user adoption. Success requires deep, hands-on Foundry experience (building directly in Foundry), production-quality Python/SQL engineering, and the ability to independently lead technical delivery from discovery through launch.
Responsibilities:
• Lead discovery with business stakeholders to clarify operational workflows, define success metrics, and translate needs into Foundry-deliverable requirements and technical designs.
• Architect and implement Foundry Ontology domain models, including object types, link types, action types, interfaces, and functions that scale across teams and use cases.
• Build and operationalize production-grade data pipelines and transformations using Python and SQL, leveraging frameworks such as PySpark, Pandas, and Polars as appropriate.
• Develop, test, and deploy Foundry-native solutions (pipelines, logic, and application components) with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and performance at enterprise scale.
• Drive solution delivery end-to-end, including implementation planning, hands-on build, deployment readiness, rollout, and user adoption, while managing ambiguity and shifting priorities.
• Diagnose and resolve data quality, performance, and modeling issues by instrumenting pipelines, validating outputs, and hardening solutions for ongoing operations.
• Establish practical engineering standards for the workstream, including code quality expectations, documentation, and repeatable patterns for Ontology and pipeline design.
Required Skills:
• 8+ years of software engineering, data engineering, or technical consulting experience, including 2+ years of hands-on Palantir Foundry experience building directly in Foundry environments.
• Deep Palantir Foundry Ontology expertise, including designing and implementing object types, link types, action types, interfaces, and functions to architect scalable operational domain models.
• Expert-level Python and SQL skills, with experience building production-grade data pipelines, applications, and enterprise-scale solutions using PySpark, Pandas, Polars, and related frameworks.
• Proven forward-deployed solution ownership, including direct stakeholder engagement and independent delivery from discovery and architecture through deployment and user adoption.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Palantir AIP, including AIP Logic, AIP Agents, evaluation suites, LLM-powered workflows, and RAG implementations.
• Experience delivering solutions in healthcare, clinical operations, revenue cycle, or other highly regulated industries.
