Role description
Senior Data & Performance Analyst –
Whitley, UK | Hybrid Working – 2 days a week in office
12-month contract (inside IR35) paying £32 per hour (£256 a day)
Are you a data analyst who wants their insights to directly influence revenue, customer loyalty, and global performance?
We’re hiring a Senior Analyst to join a high-performing Retail Performance Intelligence team supporting a global premium retail network of 1,700+ locations worldwide. This role sits at the heart of commercial decision-making, turning complex data into clear, actionable insight that leaders actually use.
Why This Role Stands Out
• Your work will directly impact revenue and customer satisfaction
• You’ll own global metrics used by senior stakeholders
• You’ll shape how insight is generated, visualised, and consumed across regions
• You’ll influence the roadmap of intelligence products used internationally
• High visibility, strong autonomy, and real ownership — not just reporting
What You’ll Be Doing
• Driving Insight, Not Just Reporting
• Combine multiple data sources to uncover trends, correlations, and predictive insights that inform retailer and market-level action.
• Owning Customer Retention Analytics
• Lead the development and global consistency of customer retention metrics, evolving them as richer transactional data becomes available.
• Shaping Intelligence Products
• Act as product owner for analytics tools and dashboards, managing a global “ideas hopper” and prioritising enhancements that improve user experience and decision-making.
• Project & Stakeholder Leadership
• Work cross-functionally with data, systems, digital, and commercial teams to deliver analytics improvements on time and to a high standard.
• Influencing at Scale
• Translate complex data into compelling stories for regional and market stakeholders, driving action and measurable improvement.
What Success Looks Like
• Clear, adopted insights that improve underperforming retailers
• Measurable uplift in revenue and customer retention
• Intelligence tools that are simpler, smarter, and widely used
• Strong stakeholder confidence in data-driven decision making
What We’re Looking For
Essential
• Strong background in business analytics and insight generation
• Advanced data visualisation skills (Tableau essential)
• Experience working with large, complex datasets from multiple sources
• Proven project management and cross-functional delivery
• Confident communicator who can influence both technical and commercial audiences
Desirable
• Retail, automotive, or luxury sector experience
• SQL / BigQuery / Anaplan exposure
• Agile delivery experience (JIRA)
• Interest or experience in predictive analytics
What’s In It For You
• High-impact, senior analyst role with genuine ownership
• Opportunity to influence global strategy through data
• Work on products and insights used by international leadership
• Collaborative, forward-thinking data environment
• Clear visibility and room to grow
If you’re ready to move beyond dashboards and into real commercial impact, we’d love to hear from you.
