Senior Power BI Developer

Hiring Now: Senior Power BI Developer (Banking Domain) Location: Iselin, NJ / New York City, NY (Onsite/Hybrid as required) Note: Looking for an Independent Contractor only. H1B will not work for this role. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer with strong experience in the banking or financial services domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Power BI, data modeling, dashboard development, and PowerShell scripting. Role Overview The Senior Power BI Developer will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineering teams, and leadership to design, develop, and optimize business intelligence dashboards and reporting solutions tailored for banking operations. Key Responsibilities • Develop advanced Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations • Build and optimize data models, DAX calculations, and ETL logic • Work closely with business and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions • Automate reporting tasks and data workflows using PowerShell • Ensure data quality, security, and performance optimization • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support regulatory, risk, and operational reporting needs • Troubleshoot BI issues and provide ongoing support Required Qualifications • 8+ years of experience as a Power BI developer • Strong background in the banking or financial services industry • Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting • Expertise in DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and performance tuning • Strong SQL skills and understanding of data warehouse concepts • Ability to work with large datasets and complex business logic • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, SQL Database) • Exposure to regulatory or risk reporting in banking • Power BI certification is a plus How to Apply If you are interested in this opportunity or would like to refer a suitable candidate, please share the resume at abhishek.singh@arkhyatech.com.
