Role description
Job title: Senior Power Platform Developer Location: Austin, TX Rate: $50/hr on W2 Type: Contract – Onsite Overview: A public sector client of ours in Austin, Texas is looking for a Senior Web Developer for a 7-month contract that is likely to extend. This role is hybrid 2-3 days per week out of their Austin, Texas office. Candidates interested should be accessible to or in the Austin area. The Senior Web Developer is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level solutions leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint Online environments. This role focuses on automating business processes, enhancing collaboration, improving content management, and ensuring governance and security best practices across the organization. The ideal candidate will have senior-level experience developing and administering enterprise SharePoint Online environments, building Power Platform solutions, and providing technical leadership and mentorship. This position requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently with limited supervision, and excellent communication skills when working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Power Platform Responsibilities β€’ Design, develop, and deploy solutions using Microsoft Power Platform to automate business processes and enhance end-user productivity. β€’ Convert existing PDF forms into Microsoft Forms, including redesign, build, and testing. β€’ Integrate new and existing Microsoft Forms with Power Automate flows. β€’ Design, build, and test automated workflows using Power Automate to eliminate repetitive/manual tasks. β€’ Incorporate approval routing, Outlook email integration, and SharePoint list integration within Power Automate flows. β€’ Support and maintain Power BI reporting solutions where applicable. SharePoint Online Responsibilities β€’ Plan, design, and execute a SharePoint Online intranet, including a HUB site aligned with organizational objectives. β€’ Migrate content (PDF documents, Microsoft Forms, etc.) from Drupal (version 10.6.2 or higher) to Microsoft SharePoint Online. β€’ Administer and maintain SharePoint Online environments, including: β€’ Site collections and site configuration β€’ Lists and libraries management β€’ Workflow configuration β€’ Day-to-day operational support β€’ Oversee and improve SharePoint permissions, groups, and security settings to align with governance and best practices. Additional Responsibilities β€’ Respond to helpdesk tickets and diagnose/resolve end-user issues related to SharePoint Online and Power Platform solutions. β€’ Implement best practices for data integrity, security, and governance to meet regulatory and organizational standards. β€’ Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions. β€’ Participate in meetings focused on site content, enhancements, and governance initiatives. β€’ Provide technical leadership and analytical guidance to developers and team members. β€’ Mentor and train junior developers on Power Platform and SharePoint best practices. β€’ Deliver end-user training, documentation, and best practice guidance. β€’ Manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with limited supervision. Required Experience: β€’ 5 years of experience developing and supporting Power Platform applications such as Power Automate and Power BI. β€’ 5 years of experience using Power Automate Flow for business process automation. β€’ 5 years of experience with custom workflows, SharePoint lists, automation, and data integration. β€’ 5 years of senior-level experience in SharePoint development and administration, including intranet development. β€’ 5 years of experience managing a Microsoft SharePoint M365 online environment at an enterprise level. β€’ 5 years of experience administering SharePoint Online (site creation, permissions, lists/libraries, workflow configuration). β€’ 5 years of experience working with HTML/CSS and SharePoint design tools. β€’ 5 years of experience gathering requirements and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical users. β€’ 4 years of experience supporting enterprise users and content governance.
