About us
The Fidelis Partnership is a leading privately-owned, Bermuda-based Managing General Underwriter, which, through its subsidiaries, is a global underwriter of property, bespoke and specialty insurance and reinsurance products. The Fidelis Partnership is one of the largest Managing General Underwriters globally and its operations also include outwards reinsurance, claims handling, exposure management and portfolio analytics. The Fidelis Partnership also sponsors and incubates specialist MGAs through its Pine Walk platform. The Fidelis Partnership is separately owned and managed from the ownership and management of Fidelis Insurance Group.
Across product lines and geographies, we focus on three diversified pillars: reinsurance, specialty and bespoke solutions. We are truly diversified. Our long-standing partnerships with capital providers and quota share partners make us nimble. Our breadth of expertise and capabilities deliver outstanding market returns.
The role
We are looking for a highly driven Pricing Analyst to join our team specialising in bespoke credit and political risk. The role is suited to someone who is ambitious, proactive, and eager to take on complex analytical challenges. We can shape responsibilities around the individualβs experience, but we expect a strong appetite for learning, problem solving, and taking ownership of work from an early stage.
You will work closely with underwriters to develop and refine models that capture key risk drivers across a wide range of sophisticated transactions. The position requires someone who enjoys tackling unfamiliar deal structures, working with intricate datasets, and building custom stochastic models that support high quality pricing and decision making.
The Bespoke Pricing team supports technical pricing across a broad portfolio of direct and reinsurance credit and political risk business, including Structured Credit, Mortgage Indemnity, Mortgage Reinsurance, Significant Risk Transfer (SRT) transactions, Aviation and Marine Finance, Contract Frustration, and Trade Credit. The portfolio continues to expand, offering opportunities for individuals who want to grow quickly and contribute to new and developing classes of business.
Key accountabilities
Model Development - Build and maintain pricing models for bespoke credit and political risk deals. Experience with Python or similar tools is an advantage.
Underwriter Collaboration - Work closely with underwriters to understand each transaction and ensure models reflect the underlying risks.
Risk Assessment - Analyse client information, market data, and other sources to evaluate and quantify risk.
Data Analysis - Identify trends and insights that inform pricing. Improve data quality, develop tools, and enhance how we visualise and interrogate exposure and claims information.
Custom Models - Create tailored models for individual deals, incorporating specific risk drivers and structures.
Reporting & Planning - Support business planning and reporting, including quarterly Realistic Disaster Scenarios. Help maintain Economic Catastrophe RDS models and respond to stakeholder queries.
Process Improvement - Enhance existing models and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Excel Skills - Use advanced Excel for modelling, data manipulation, and presenting results.
Documentation - Clearly document methodologies, assumptions, and model outputs.
Stakeholder Communication - Present findings and model updates to underwriters, management, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Ad hoc Support - Contribute to wider team projects and evolving business needs.
Skills & experience
Required qualifications, skills and experience:
Strong ability to understand new and complex technical problems, analyse data, and explain findings clearly.
Background in a numerical or technical field, or proven capability to apply analytical skills in a technical role.
London Market or commercial insurance experience is helpful but not essential.
Interest in, or progress toward, a relevant professional qualification, ideally with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
Awareness of industry trends, insurance and reinsurance products, market conditions, and performance drivers.
Competence in Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn stochastic modelling using VBA or another coding language.
What weβre looking for:
Strong attention to detail and the ability to turn analytical work into clear opinions and recommendations.
Innovative thinking with the ability to connect technical analysis to the wider commercial context.
Sound judgment to combine quantitative insights with practical decisionmaking.
A proactive, resilient selfstarter who learns quickly and thrives on new challenges.
A strong work ethic, delivery focus, and a positive, solutionsdriven mindset.
Confident communication skills and the ability to work directly with underwriters, brokers, and other stakeholders.
Ability to prioritise effectively, work to tight deadlines, and focus on the key issues that drive decisions.
Willingness to communicate analytical limitations clearly and work constructively with stakeholders to improve data and refine analysis.
