Position Overview: β€’ The Data Product Analyst is responsible for partnering with stakeholders to build, test, enhance, and operate data products that meet business needs. β€’ The ideal candidate is an experienced, people-centric product professional who can communicate effectively across all levels of data fluency. β€’ This role requires a strong understanding of data ingestion and management practices, the creation of sustainable data processes and tools, and the ability to bridge business and technical landscapes. β€’ The Data Product Analyst plays a critical role in translating business needs into actionable requirements that drive high-quality data product delivery. β€’ The Data Product Analyst manages collaboration across stakeholder teams to build, test, enhance, and operate data products that meet business and operational needs. β€’ This role partners closely with the Product Owner to remain aligned on product vision and ensure that vision is translated into well-defined user stories. β€’ Within the analysis domain, the Data Product Analyst works with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define business processes, business logic, impact assessments, feature breakdowns, and prioritization. β€’ The Analyst serves as the team's primary source of truth for business logic, requirements, analysis, and testing, ensuring clarity and consistency throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities: β€’ Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to gather, analyze, and define business and technical requirements for data products. β€’ Lead workshops, interviews, and working sessions to elicit requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives. β€’ Translate stakeholder needs into clear, actionable Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) that guide development and delivery. β€’ Create and maintain product documentation, reporting materials, and stakeholder communications. β€’ Serve as the primary point of contact for data product requirements across the product lifecycle. β€’ Proactively communicate plans, progress, risks, and issues, escalating when appropriate. β€’ Work closely with engineering, analytics, and UX teams to support successful implementation. β€’ Prioritize features and enhancements based on business impact, feasibility, and strategic alignment. β€’ Support testing activities by creating test plans, writing test cases and scripts, and logging defects. β€’ Prepare system documentation including process flows, customer journey maps, and business process models. β€’ Monitor product performance and collect feedback to support continuous improvement. β€’ Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and applicable regulatory requirements related to data products. Required Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (Master's Degree, preferred). β€’ 3+ years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or data management within a digital environment. β€’ Ability to document business requirements and translate them into clear technical requirements. β€’ Ability to make data-driven decisions and support business collaboration. β€’ Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. β€’ Ability to manage projects effectively and flexibly and adapt when goals or needs change. β€’ Ability to organize work using a software ticketing system (preferred: Azure DevOps; experience with Jira or similar tools, acceptable). β€’ Ability to summarize technical concepts and clearly communicate them to non-technical stakeholders. β€’ Demonstrated stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills. β€’ Excellent oral and written communication skills. β€’ Experience creating and analyzing Salesforce and / or Power BI reports. β€’ Experience designing, managing, analyzing, testing, or improving software systems. β€’ Experience developing test plans, test cases, and scripts for User Acceptance Testing (UAT). β€’ Experience working in fast-paced, changing environments. β€’ Experience working within a Scrum / Agile framework. β€’ Proficiency in creating business process documentation and workflow artifacts. β€’ Proven ability to create comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and manage requirements for complex data products. β€’ Proven experience as a Business Analyst. β€’ Self-sufficient individual who works collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams. β€’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. β€’ Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results. β€’ Strong facilitation skills with the ability to decompose complex business processes. β€’ Strong people skills with the ability to build consensus in high-pressure situations. Preferred Skills: β€’ Experience with data visualization tools, analytics platforms, or data engineering concepts. β€’ Familiarity with data governance, privacy, and compliance practices. β€’ Knowledge of cloud data solutions and digital product development. β€’ Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Project Management (CPM), or Scrum / Agile Certifications.
