We build the leading 3D design platform for outdoor living and swimming pool projects.
We’re adding a new AI-powered layer to make our 3D renders more realistic, efficient, and inspiring. Our software architecture gives us a unique advantage to innovate with AI in 3D. This is where you come in.
Why This Role Matters
Our core Windows application, built on C++ and the Unreal Engine, handles procedural 3D modeling. You'll handle the AI-based middle layer, bridging our app to top generative AI APIs and enabling features like photo-realistic image enhancements, seamless texture creation, AI-driven planting layout, and geometry-aware automations for pools and landscapes.
Each year, our users design 2,000,000+ projects with our industry-leading software. When it comes to AI enhancements, however, we don’t have all the answers yet. That means your role will be critical. Not only will you directly boost productivity and creativity through your hands-on contributions. You’ll also guide us in setting the right technical targets, choosing the right model providers, and scaling our pipeline from prototype to production.
You'll empower users to:
• Transform basic renders into stunning, photo-ready images swiftly without changing the design itself in any way.
• Create seamless, high-quality textures from mobile photos.
• Generate smart landscape plans with AI-assisted elements.
• Switch between leading models (e.g., Flux, Stability AI, Black Forest Labs) effortlessly.
• Fine-tune AI for precise understanding of Outdoor Living objects and layouts.
What You’ll Do
• Design, build, and maintain a Python backend service for AI-powered image rendering features.
• Integrate with multiple generative AI APIs (diffusion, transformers, LoRA fine-tunes).
• Create clear APIs that our C++/Unreal team can rely on.
• Own prompt engineering workflows to maximize output quality.
• Prepare and manage training datasets for future fine-tuning.
• Experiment with LoRA/DreamBooth fine-tuning to adapt models to our domain.
• Define and build the first version of our AI rendering pipeline.
• Ensure the service can scale to handle thousands of daily requests reliably.
• Collaborate closely with Unreal/C++ engineers and product designers.
• Help decide if and when fine-tuning (LoRA, DreamBooth) is required.
Must-Have Skills
• 5+ years professional Python experience (production systems), focused on AI libraries.
• Proven experience building APIs and services.
• Proven hands-on experience with generative AI (e.g., diffusion, transformers, in painting).
• Experience with AI providers like Flux, Stability AI, Hugging Face, Replicate.
• Strong applied experience with prompt engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Background in 3D workflows (Blender, Unreal, CAD, Sketchup, cryptomattes).
• Background in fine-tuning or deploying AI in creative industries.
• Knowledge of cloud GPU deployment (AWS/GCP/Azure).
