Senior Quant Analyst : Data : Commodity Trading

Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Quant Analyst with hands-on coding skills and Data Platform experience for an initial 12 Month Contract. Required Industry Knowledge: • Understanding of all major global futures exchanges • Knowledge of full exchange-traded derivatives trade lifecycle • Minimum of 8 years' experience in Commodity Trading & Capital Markets / Investment Banks – to bring credible externalisation of mindset and approach and ensure we are cost: value competitive • Knowledge of market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.) and liquidity aggregation platforms. • Understanding of financial regulations such as MiFID II, EMIR, and FCA guidelines. Key Skills and Experience required: • 10 years+ experience with Front Office application support and vendor management • Rapid incident response to maintain continuous trading operations, turning quick fixes into robust, scalable solutions • Proactive system monitoring and troubleshooting, owning reliability improvements and ensuring their successful delivery • Understanding of trading lifecycle, including order capture & execution, allocation workflow, settlement, and compliance requirements • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data sets and propose innovative solutions. • Must have strong technical skills in scripting, Python, PowerShell, C#, SQL or other programming languages This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
