Location: Boston, Massachusetts (Hybrid) Job Summary STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Senior Snowflake Developer on behalf of our client in Boston, MA. We are looking for an experienced data engineering professional to design, develop, and support a cloud-based data warehouse environment that powers critical business operations and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Snowflake architecture, ETL/ELT development, cloud technologies, SQL optimization, and automation to help build scalable and secure data solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives in a collaborative environment while contributing to the development of modern, enterprise-grade data platforms. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Snowflake data warehouse solutions to support enterprise data initiatives. • Build, optimize, and manage ETL/ELT pipelines for seamless internal and external data integration. • Develop Python-based automation for data ingestion, transformation, validation, and quality control processes. • Ensure high standards of data quality, integrity, security, and compliance across the data ecosystem. • Optimize Snowflake performance, scalability, and reliability through best practices and performance tuning. • Develop reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions leveraging Snowflake and visualization platforms. • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver impactful data solutions. • Maintain technical documentation and participate in peer code reviews to support development best practices. • Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership and guidance. Required Qualifications • 8+ years of experience in Snowflake data warehouse development, management, or data engineering. • Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, data modeling, and modern data warehousing concepts. • Advanced SQL proficiency, including query optimization and performance tuning in Snowflake environments. • Hands-on experience with Snowflake capabilities such as cloning, time travel, data sharing, and micro-partitioning. • Expertise in Snowflake security, including RBAC, data masking, encryption, and governance best practices. • Strong experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and data integration tools. • Proficiency in Python or scripting for automation and data processing. • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. • Familiarity with cloud services including AWS Glue, DMS, S3, and AppFlow. • Experience integrating Snowflake with business intelligence platforms, CRM systems, and third-party APIs. • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. Preferred Qualifications • Snowflake certifications such as SnowPro Advanced Architect or SnowPro Data Engineering. • Experience building complex data pipelines in multi-cloud environments. • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and deployment tools. • Experience using version control and project collaboration tools such as GitHub and JIRA. • Familiarity with data masking strategies and privacy risk reduction methodologies. • Prior experience supporting highly regulated or public-sector environments is a plus.
