Responsibilities
• Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers.
• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for technical equipment, custom engineered products, systems, software, or components.
• Maintain understanding of technology trends, market forces, cost trends, and supplier technology road maps.
• Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
• Discuss defects and delivery problems with suppliers and negotiate refunds.
• Provide technical guidance and direction within a specialized field or discipline.
• Lead data analysis for cost reduction and supplier performance improvement.
• Analyze supplier performance details and trends.
• Analyze internal and external cost details to identify opportunities and support cost negotiations.
• Create cost models for supplier pricing structures, including impacts on volume, spend, and material price changes.
• Utilize AI in modeling and analysis.
• Issue RFQs, facilitate and lead auctions, and generate should-cost requests.
• Analyze results and prepare summaries and recommendations for sourcing managers.
• Develop negotiation fact sets and presentation materials.
• Support a pipeline for future sourcing roles, with potential to transition to sourcing manager roles.
• Experience in supplier selection, performance management, cost modeling, and presentations.
• Skilled in data analysis, presentation of results, and communicating insights visually.
• Handle multiple concurrent tasks, such as launching RFQs and ongoing analyses.
