Senior Tech Analyst - Azure, SQL, API's
Location: Remote
Contract: 6-months initial
Rate: $70 - $80p/h
The Senior Tech Analyst will analyze, support, and optimize technical solutions that integrate data and services across systems. You will work with SQL, APIs, and cloud/low-code platforms to support business-critical applications—particularly in an insurance environment. The role will involve troubleshooting, data validation, and collaborating with engineering and business stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, data extracts, and reporting logic to support operational and analytical needs.
• Integrate and troubleshoot system interactions using APIs (e.g., request/response handling, authentication, error management).
• Support data and application workflows across Azure environments (preferred).
• Assist with or maintain solutions built using OutSystems (nice to have).
• Analyze requirements and translate them into technical approaches for data retrieval, validation, and integration.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, including root-cause analysis and preventive improvements.
• Validate data integrity and ensure outputs align with business rules and reporting expectations.
• Document technical work (queries, API behavior, integration notes, incident learnings).
• Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, and business teams to deliver enhancements and ensure smooth releases.
• Leverage insurance domain knowledge to ensure solutions meet industry-specific needs and terminology.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong experience with SQL (querying, joins, performance tuning, debugging).
• Experience working with APIs (integration, troubleshooting, handling edge cases).
• Experience with insurance (policy/admin, underwriting, claims, billing, or related processes).
• Familiarity with Azure (preferred), such as deploying/supporting services or working with common Azure components.
Nice to Have
• Experience with OutSystems (low-code development, maintenance, or understanding of app/data flows).
Experience Level
• Mid–Senior level with demonstrated ability to independently investigate technical issues and deliver improvements with minimal supervision.
Education (Optional)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
What Success Looks Like
• Reliable SQL/API solutions with strong performance and data accuracy.
• Faster incident resolution through strong troubleshooting and documentation.
• Improvements to integrations and workflows that reduce manual effort and errors.
• Clear communication of technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
