Role description
Senior Technology Reporting Analyst
London x5 Days on-site
£525p/d Inside IR35
emagine is a high-end professional services consultancy and solutions firm Specialising in providing business and technology services to the financial services sector, we power progress, solve challenges and deliver real results through tailored high-end consulting services and solutions.
We have created a culture of openness and integrity by building genuine and strong relationships and partnerships, enabling us to be uncompromising in our dedication in delivering the optimal service for our clients.
Our commitment is not just towards our clients but we aim to foster a positive and equitable working environment with our consultants and colleagues which stems from our core values: Confident, Dedicated, Responsible, Genuine.
We are hiring for a Senior Technology Reporting Analyst to elevate the quality and impact of our executive-level reporting. This role is pivotal in shaping how technology initiatives are communicated to C-Suite and Board-level stakeholders — with a strong emphasis on storytelling over technical detail.
This position will primarily focus on narrative rather than data. We’re looking for someone who:
• Has a background in infrastructure and can understand the business impact of technology.
• Can engage with a wide range of stakeholders to build an accurate, insightful picture of complex topics.
• Can communicate this picture clearly and concisely to varied audiences, including senior executives.
• Is adept at reporting on narratives for senior execs, ideally within a Top 4 consultancy environment or equivalent.
You will often be explaining high-visibility technology topics that lack predefined quantitative data inputs. The role requires synthesising updates from multiple contributors into a concise, compelling narrative, often summarised on a single PowerPoint slide.
Key Responsibilities
• Report Management: Own the end-to-end creation of high-quality reports for the Digital Engineering Services department.
• Executive-Level Reporting: Deliver clear, concise, and visually engaging reports tailored for senior leadership.
• Technology & Financial Services Insight: Contextualise updates with a working knowledge of infrastructure technologies and industry trends.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to gather insights and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process enhancements.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience: 4+ years in consulting, reporting, strategy, or business analysis — ideally from a Top 4 consultancy.
• Infrastructure Understanding: Strong foundation in infrastructure and IT services, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business narratives.
• Critical Thinking & Communication: Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with a focus on executive storytelling.
• Visualization Skills: Proficiency in PowerBI or similar tools to present data and narratives effectively.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills and precision in reporting.
• IT Risk Awareness: Conceptual understanding of IT risk, governance, and controls.
• Industry Knowledge: Awareness of financial services business models and technology dependencies.
• Career Focus: A passion for technology and financial services, with the ambition to shape how complex topics are understood at the highest levels.
