Senior Typescript Developer

Responsibilities Kforce has a client in Greenwood Village, CO that is seeking a Senior Typescript Developer to design and develop backend REST APIs and web services supporting large-scale, cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with TypeScript and Node.js, strong understanding of software design and architecture, and a disciplined approach to SDLC best practices. This role will focus primarily on backend development, leveraging modern cloud technologies to build secure, scalable, and maintainable services. Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using TypeScript and Node.js • Implement clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following SDLC best practices • Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and front-end teams to deliver high-quality software solutions • Integrate backend services with AWS and other cloud platforms for scalability and performance • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities • Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance • Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions Requirements • 5+ years of professional software development experience, with strong expertise in TypeScript and Node.js • Proven experience designing and developing REST APIs and backend web services • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), including testing and CI/CD practices • Experience with AWS services (such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, or similar) • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and version control (Git) • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills Preferred Skills • Experience with event-driven architectures or messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, SNS/SQS) • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) • Exposure to microservices-based architectures • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in agile, cross-functional teams The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
