Job Description:
We are seeking a Principal Voice Platform Engineer/Architect to lead enterprise-scale Twilio-based telephony architecture for healthcare communication platforms. This is a senior SME role responsible for defining scalable, reliable, and compliant voice solutions for migration from legacy systems (Genesys, Cisco, Avaya) to cloud-native architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Architect end-to-end Twilio Voice solutions (Studio, TwiML, Webhooks, TaskRouter)
• Define scalable IVR architectures (DTMF, ASR, call routing, failover, multi-tenant design)
• Lead architecture governance, design standards, and technical reviews
• Build and guide .NET (C# / ASP.NET Core) backend services for voice APIs
• Ensure high availability, performance, and HIPAA-compliant implementations
• Mentor engineering teams and engage with client stakeholders
Required Skills:
• Strong experience with Twilio Voice, Studio Flows, TwiML, Webhooks, TaskRouter
• Expertise in .NET Core, C#, REST APIs, Redis
• Hands-on experience with IVR systems, SIP, carrier integrations, and call flows
• Experience in telephony migration from legacy platforms
• Knowledge of AWS (S3, CloudFront) and distributed systems
• Healthcare domain experience with HIPAA compliance
Nice to Have:
• Twilio Flex, Voice Intelligence, Event Streams
• Experience with large-scale number porting and call flow testing
• Background in consulting/client-facing architecture roles
