Server System Validation Technician

We are hiring for a Server System Validation Engineer to support our client in the semiconductor industry. This role focuses on post-silicon validation of x86-based server platforms in a lab environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with system-level validation, debugging, and platform bring-up across hardware and software components. Key Responsibilities • Perform post-silicon validation on x86 server platforms • Execute system-level testing across Linux and Windows environments • Validate BIOS, firmware, and platform features (UEFI, ACPI, BMC) • Conduct functional, regression, stress, and performance testing • Debug system-level issues using BIOS, BMC, and OS logs • Work with virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V • Support system bring-up, hardware configuration, and lab validation activities Required Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in system validation / platform validation / server validation • Strong understanding of x86 architecture and server platforms • Experience with BIOS, firmware, or low-level system components • Hands-on experience with Linux and/or Windows OS • Exposure to virtualization environments (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, etc.) • Experience with debugging and log analysis • Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Shell, or automation tools) Additional Information • Location: Austin, TX (Onsite) • Duration: 12+ months (with possible extension) • Employment Type: W2 only • Note: We are not considering C2C or 1099 candidates at this time
