Job Title: Systems Software Programmer β Consultant (SharePoint / Power Platform Developer)
Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid β 20% Onsite, 80% Remote)
Duration: 6 Months (with possible extension)

Candidate Eligibility: Must be a South Carolina resident or willing to relocate/commute to Columbia, SC before start (at own expense).
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Systems Software Programmer β Consultant with strong expertise in SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, and Power Platform development. The selected professional will play a key role in enhancing and modernizing an enterprise intranet environment, building custom solutions, and improving business processes through automation and Microsoft 365 integrations.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on SharePoint and Power Platform developer with at least 10 years of experience designing, customizing, and supporting enterprise SharePoint environments, and who possesses solid programming, UI/UX, and problem-solving skills.
Daily Duties / Responsibilities:
β’ Lead the design, development, and enhancement of intranet sites using SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 tools.
β’ Customize SharePoint sites, workflows, and web parts to meet business requirements.
β’ Develop Power Apps and Power Automate flows to automate processes and improve efficiency.
β’ Create intuitive, responsive, and mobile-friendly user experiences.
β’ Prepare detailed technical and user documentation for ongoing maintenance and support.
β’ Collaborate with administrators to ensure security and compliance best practices are followed.
β’ Conduct workshops and training sessions to guide users and technical teams.
β’ Participate in requirement-gathering sessions and status meetings.
β’ Provide guidance on SharePoint governance and best practices.
β’ Deliver weekly progress and status updates to management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology Management, or equivalent experience.
β’ 10+ years of professional SharePoint development experience (SharePoint Online & Office 365).
β’ Proven ability to design and develop enterprise intranets with custom features and functionalities.
β’ Expertise in Office 365 Power Suite (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps).
β’ Strong proficiency in C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PowerShell, and JQuery (or similar frameworks).
β’ Deep understanding of information architecture and content structuring.
β’ Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and responsive web development.
β’ Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards for cloud-based systems.
β’ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
β’ Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
β’ Self-motivated and proactive, capable of working independently with limited supervision.
Preferred Skills:
β’ Experience integrating Microsoft Copilot features.
β’ Knowledge of M365 adoption strategy and roadmap development.
β’ Familiarity with gamification principles to increase user engagement and collaboration.
β’ Relevant certifications such as:
