SharePoint SPFx Developer 4 Month Contract Home Based Rate: £500 - £550 per day (INSIDE IR35) Skills: SPFx, React, Fluent UI, SC Clearance We are looking to recruit an SC Cleared SharePoint SPFx Developer for a leading technology consultancy on an initial 4 month contract. This is a remote role with occasional travel to London for Team & Customer meetings. We're looking for an experienced SharePoint Developer to support a migration project from SharePoint 2016 to SharePoint Online. The focus will be on functionality and modernisation rather than data migration, ensuring existing features are redeveloped or enhanced for the cloud environment. You'll need strong experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), modern SharePoint development practices, and a good understanding of how to adapt on-premises solutions for SharePoint Online. Technical Skills: • SPFx Development: Proven experience building and deploying SPFx solutions • React & TypeScript: Strong proficiency in modern React development • Fluent UI: Experience with Microsoft's Fluent UI design system • SharePoint REST API: Integration with SharePoint lists and libraries • Modern Tooling: Node.js, npm, webpack, gulp, Visual Studio Code Frontend Development Skills: • JavaScript/TypeScript: Advanced knowledge of modern JavaScript and TypeScript • CSS/SCSS: Styling and responsive design implementation • Web Standards: HTML5, accessibility (WCAG), cross-browser compatibility • Testing: Unit testing with Jest or similar frameworks • Version Control: Git workflow and collaboration practices SharePoint Knowledge: • Understanding of SharePoint Online architecture and security model • Experience with SharePoint lists, libraries, and content types • Knowledge of SharePoint permissions and user context • Familiarity with PnP JS library for SharePoint operations Additional Desirable Technical Skills: • Advanced React: Hooks, context, state management, performance optimization • Build Tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines • Testing: Integration testing, end-to-end testing with Playwright/Cypress • Performance: Code splitting, lazy loading, bundle optimization
