Role description
Overview We’re seeking a detail‑oriented Smartsheet Analyst to support our Development team in optimizing workflows, enhancing reporting capabilities, and improving overall operational efficiency within Smartsheet. This is a 3‑month contract role focused on building scalable solutions, streamlining processes, and empowering our team with better visibility into project performance. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and optimize Smartsheet solutions including: • Dashboards • Automated workflows • Reports and data summaries • Forms and intake processes • Partner closely with Development leadership to understand current processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency. • Translate business needs into structured Smartsheet architectures that are intuitive, maintainable, and scalable. • Audit existing Smartsheet assets and recommend improvements or consolidation. • Implement data governance best practices, including permissions, data integrity, and version control. • Develop documentation, templates, and training materials to support long‑term adoption. • Provide hands‑on support and troubleshooting for Smartsheet users across the Development team. • Ensure solutions align with organizational goals, reporting requirements, and cross‑team dependencies. Required Skills & Experience • Proven experience building advanced Smartsheet solutions (dashboards, formulas, automation, reporting). • Strong understanding of workflow design, process mapping, and operational efficiency. • Ability to translate business requirements into technical Smartsheet configurations. • Experience working with cross‑functional teams, ideally in a development, operations, or project‑driven environment. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users. • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality work within a short‑term contract timeline. Preferred Qualifications • Smartsheet Core Product or Solution Certification. • Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid). • Familiarity with integrations (e.g., Jira, Salesforce, Microsoft 365, APIs). • Background in process improvement or business analysis.
