Snowflake Consultant

Our Seacoast NH client is seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer Consultant to lead the setup of a new cloud-based data environment. As they transition to the AthenaOne Cloud EHR, this consultant will play a key role in designing and building a Snowflake Data Lake to support enterprise reporting and analytics using Power BI. This is a high-impact consulting role with an emphasis on data platform optimization, reporting infrastructure, and integration with healthcare systems. Local candidates are preferred, but EDT/CDT based remote candidates will be considered. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and implement a Snowflake Data Lake to support the new cloud EHR environment (AthenaOne). • Develop and optimize data pipelines and data models for performance, scalability, and reliability. • Integrate Snowflake with Power BI for advanced reporting and dashboarding capabilities. • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data architecture, reporting needs, and governance standards. • Ensure secure, compliant, and efficient data flows across the platform. • Provide technical expertise in SQL, data modeling, and best practices in cloud data engineering. • Support knowledge transfer and documentation for internal teams. Required Qualifications • Proven experience designing and implementing Snowflake environments. • Strong proficiency in Power BI and SQL. • Experience building and optimizing large-scale data solutions in the cloud. • Knowledge of data integration, ETL/ELT frameworks, and reporting best practices. • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced consulting environment. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with healthcare data or within healthcare IT environments. • Familiarity with AthenaOne Cloud EHR or similar platforms. • Understanding of data privacy and compliance in healthcare (e.g., HIPAA).
