Snowflake Data Engineer – 6‑Month Contract (Hybrid, London) Location: London – Hybrid (1–2 days per week onsite) Contract Length: 6 months Day Rate: Flexible IR35 Status: Pending determination Industry: Snowflake Consulting / Data Engineering Services The Opportunity A leading Snowflake Partner is seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to support the delivery of modern data platform projects for a range of enterprise clients. This role is ideal for engineers who not only excel technically but also enjoy collaborating with customers, shaping solutions, and representing a Snowflake-certified consultancy. You’ll work across multiple Snowflake implementations, helping clients modernise their data stack, adopt best practices, and unlock more value from their cloud data platforms. What You’ll Be Doing • Delivering Snowflake-based data engineering solutions for end‑clients • Designing and developing robust Snowflake data models and scalable pipelines • Building and maintaining dbt models, testing suites, macros, and documentation • Developing and orchestrating Matillion ETL/ELT workflows • Advising clients on Snowflake best practices, performance tuning, governance, and architecture • Implementing and optimising Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks, RBAC and warehouse configurations • Troubleshooting data platform issues and supporting client teams • Collaborating with architects, consultants, and technical leads on solution design Key Skills & Experience • Strong commercial experience delivering data solutions on Snowflake • Proven delivery experience within a Snowflake Partner, consultancy, or SI (preferred) • Hands-on expertise with dbt (core modelling, testing, transformations, documentation) • Practical experience delivering production pipelines in Matillion • Excellent SQL skills and experience working with complex, high‑volume datasets • Cloud experience (ideally AWS, but Azure/GCP also considered) • Python for transformation, automation, or orchestration (nice to have) • Experience working with CI/CD, version control, DevOps practices • Strong communication skills with confidence in customer‑facing delivery • Snowflake certifications (e.g., SnowPro Core / Advanced) are advantageous My client have limited interview slots and they are looking to fill this vacancy by then end of the month.
