Role description
Snowflake Data Engineer - Outside IR35 - RemoteAbout the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions on the Snowflake cloud data platform. You will play a critical role in developing data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and enabling advanced analytics and business intelligence across the organization. This role requires strong expertise in Snowflake Inc., modern cloud ecosystems, and data warehousing best practices. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT processes using Snowflake • Build and optimize data models (star schema, snowflake schema, dimensional modeling) • Implement data ingestion frameworks from structured and unstructured data sources • Optimize performance through clustering, partitioning, and query tuning • Develop and maintain data quality and validation frameworks • Integrate Snowflake with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver reliable datasets • Implement security best practices including role-based access control (RBAC) and data governance • Monitor and troubleshoot performance and data pipeline issues Required Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in data engineering • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake • Strong SQL development and performance tuning expertise • Experience building ELT/ETL pipelines using tools such as dbt Labs, Informatica, or Fivetran • Experience with scripting languages such as Python • Experience with cloud storage (S3, Azure Blob, GCS) • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and DevOps practices Preferred Qualifications • Snowflake certifications (SnowPro Core, Advanced) • Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, etc.) • Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks • Experience with real-time streaming tools (Kafka, Kinesis) • Experience supporting BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI To apply for this role please submit your CV or contact Dillon Blackburn on or at .
