Role description
Snowflake Developer Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite weekly, Tuesday mandatory) Duration: Long-Term Contract Start Date: ASAP Required Qualifications • 8+ years of experience in Snowflake development and data engineering. • Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts. • Advanced SQL skills with expertise in query optimization. • Experience with Snowflake features including cloning, time travel, data sharing, and micro-partitioning. • Strong knowledge of virtual warehouses, storage, and compute separation. • Experience implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), data masking, and encryption. • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and data integration processes. • Proficiency in Python for automation and data processing. • Knowledge of data security, governance, and compliance standards. • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and services including S3, Glue, DMS, and AppFlow. • Experience integrating Snowflake with Tableau, Salesforce, and third-party APIs. • Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications • SnowPro Advanced Architect or SnowPro Data Engineering certification. • Experience building complex data pipelines in multi-cloud environments. • Knowledge of CI/CD methodologies and tools. • Familiarity with GitHub and Jira. • Experience implementing privacy controls such as data masking and aggregation. • Experience integrating data from Salesforce platforms. • Previous experience in government, public sector, or highly regulated environments is a plus.
