Role description
Job Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Lead Data Engineer/Architect to support enterprise data modernization and ERP migration initiatives for clients in the Consumer Products / CPG domain. This is a client-facing role requiring strong technical expertise in Snowflake along with the ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will lead data architecture and engineering efforts while supporting modernization of legacy systems, particularly SAP-based environments, into scalable cloud data platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement Snowflake-based data architectures to support enterprise analytics and reporting.
Develop and optimize data models in Snowflake to support business intelligence and analytics workloads.
Lead data migration and modernization initiatives, including migration from legacy systems and SAP-based environments to Snowflake.
Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and integration.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
Support Power BI reporting and analytics layers by designing efficient data models and data pipelines.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to onshore and offshore engineering teams.
Ensure data quality, performance optimization, and governance standards within the Snowflake environment.
Participate in client discussions, solution design, and architecture reviews.
Required Qualifications:
Strong experience working with Snowflake data platform in a data engineering or architecture role.
Snowflake certification preferred.
Experience in data modeling, data warehouse design, and performance optimization.
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development and data integration frameworks.
Working knowledge of SAP data structures and ERP systems.
Experience supporting BI/reporting tools such as Power BI.
Strong SQL and data engineering skills.
Excellent communication and client-facing consulting skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in data modernization and cloud data platform implementation.
Exposure to Consumer Products / CPG industry.
Experience working with distributed teams including offshore delivery models.
Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts is a plus.
