Role description
Optomi, in partnership with a leading Fortune 500 foodservice distribution company, is seeking a Snowflake Platform Administrator to join their team! You will be responsible for the design, administration, security, performance, automation, and operational support of the enterprise Snowflake data platform. This role partners closely with Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Security, Infrastructure, Governance, and Business Intelligence teams to ensure Snowflake remains a secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective data platform. Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in data platforms, database administration, cloud engineering, or data engineering • 3+ years of hands-on Snowflake administration and engineering experience • Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud data platforms • Experience with cloud environments including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform • Deep knowledge of Snowflake architecture and administration • Strong SQL development and query optimization skills • Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices • Scripting experience with Python • Knowledge of data integration and ETL/ELT technologies Job Responsibilities: • Administer and maintain Snowflake environments across development, testing, and production. • Implement and maintain security models and compliance requirements. • Optimize platform performance and manage costs effectively. • Automate provisioning and operational processes using DevOps practices. • Support integration with enterprise data tools and troubleshoot data issues.
