The Role We are seeking a talented and versatile Engineer to join our team, focusing on the end-to-end deployment and management of our applications. This role is critical in bridging our AI models with real-world, scalable, and secure user-facing products. You will be responsible for the infrastructure that powers our applications, from cloud setup to user authentication and payment processing. This is a contract role starting at 20+ hours a month. Key Responsibilities • AI/GCP Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and maintain AI Studio applications and related services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). • Security & Authentication: Implement robust and scalable authentication and authorization systems (e.g., OAuth, JWT) to secure user access and protect sensitive data. • Payment Integration: Integrate and manage third-party payment processing services (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) to handle subscriptions and transactions securely. • Application Development: Develop and maintain small, efficient applications or microservices for core business functions, with a focus on user management, logging, and monitoring. • DevOps & Automation: Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles to ensure rapid and reliable deployment. • Collaboration: Work closely with the AI/ML, product, and design teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Required Qualifications • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a full-stack, cloud engineering, or DevOps role. • Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically with services relevant to deploying AI/ML applications (e.g., AI Platform/Vertex AI, Cloud Functions, GKE, Cloud Run). • Languages: Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and experience with relevant frameworks. • Database & APIs: Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and designing/consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs. • Authentication: Proven experience in implementing modern user authentication flows and security best practices. • Web Services: Familiarity with web application development, security, and performance optimization. Bonus Points • Experience with AI Studio or similar cloud-based MLOps platforms. • Prior experience integrating major payment gateways. • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). • Experience in an early-stage startup environment.
