In 2018, Sempra Energy acquired a majority stake in Oncor for US$9.45 billion. ABOUT THE ROLE: We’re seeking an experienced Software Configuration Management professional to join our Code Management team. The right candidate for this role will be able to execute strategic projects, optimize CI/CD workflows, and drive infrastructure modernization. They will play a critical part in maturing our automation ecosystem (Gitlab, Ansible Automation Platform and Terraform Enterprise) as we move from previously used toolsets ensuring robust, scalable, and secure pipelines. Required Skills and Experience: β€’ 5+ years of Software Configuration Management experience in multiple tools including Gitlab β€’ Experience with Terraform and Ansible β€’ Understanding and working knowledge of containerization on Kubernetes/Open Shift β€’ Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and IBM Cloud β€’ Strong communication skills and a track record of cross-team collaboration β€’ Working knowledge of different SDLC Methodologies β€’ Understanding of various branching strategies including Gitflow and Gitlab Flow β€’ Experience configuring and managing Gitlab Runners, Groups, Projects, and Permissions at scale β€’ Ability to automate operational tasks and incident remediation β€’ Partner with application teams to onboard them onto Gitlab workflows and best practices β€’ Develop and maintain clear runbooks, wiki pages, and pipeline templates β€’ Implement policies and guardrails to ensure code quality, compliance, and security posture β€’ Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD or migration-related incidents in a timely manner β€’ Available for 24/7 On-call support Preferred: β€’ Jfrog Administration Experience a plus β€’ A BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience with good scripting/programming skills β€’ GitLab Certified Administrator β€’ Recent experience administering GitLab Self-Managed β€’ Prior software experience with build management, configuration management and/or quality testing β€’ Experience with SCM practices including Agile, continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) Team Culture: Our team is fast paced, fun, highly energetic, motivated and hardworking.
