Role description
Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Junior Software Performance Engineer to fill an open position with a Fortune 15 company based in the greater Seattle area. This role supports a long-running performance engineering team responsible for validating database performance across new hardware platforms and software releases. The engineer will execute performance test suites, analyze regression results, and collaborate closely with senior engineers to diagnose issues, maintain performance stability, and improve performance tooling and automation. Responsibilities β€’ Execute database performance tests across new hardware and release builds to identify regressions and stability issues. β€’ Analyze performance data, generate reports, and surface findings to senior engineers and development partners. β€’ Perform scripting and automation using C, C#, and PowerShell to support performance validation workflows. β€’ Participate in daily scrum activities, follow technical direction, and provide regular progress updates. Qualifications β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. β€’ Experience programming in C, C#, and/or PowerShell. β€’ Foundational knowledge of Windows operating systems. β€’ Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. β€’ Ability to follow defined processes and collaborate effectively within an engineering team. β€’ Exposure to performance testing, database systems, or systems-level engineering is a plus. β€’ 0–2 years of professional experience or relevant academic/project experience.
