Job Description:
Mandatory Qualification
• Is involved with all facets of the software development process, including the research, design, programming, testing and implementation of computer software.
• These resources are needed to continue to work on Phase II of the PARTS project, which is focused on re-designing the current antiquated Mainframe solution for the Lottery Application and replacing it with a new Oracle based solution.
• Studies the software application domain, prepares software requirements, and specification documents. Liaises between the software users and the software developers. Conveys the demands of software users to the developers including general system design, coordination of changes, and unit and integration testing of programs, as well as guidance and mentoring of other staff.
Required Skills
• 10+ years Oracle Database Development
• 7+ years PL/SQL programming
• 5+ years Oracle APEX development
• Experience modernizing legacy/mainframe applications
• Strong production support and troubleshooting background
• Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting and Perl
• Prior State Government, Lottery, Tax, DMV, or large enterprise application experience preferred.
