Knowledge of UMLS, RxNorm, and biomedical vocabulary control systems.
Experience in software development and application design etc.
Strong programming skills in Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.
Experience with database technologies like Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of web development frameworks to include Django, React, and Angular.
Understanding of cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
Familiarity with medical terminology and standards (UMLS, RxNorm).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Act as a subject matter expert for healthcare-related IT infrastructure and terminology services.
Provide strategic advice for enhancing systems like VSAC and RxNorm.
Collaborate with NLM stakeholders to design solutions addressing healthcare data interoperability.
Provide technical expertise and leadership across multiple Healthcare IT domains within the NLM OCCS.
Provide subject matter expertise in medical terminology, standards, and pharmaceutical knowledge.
Design, develop, and maintain software applications related to medical language and biomedical systems.
Support the development and maintenance of registries, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Contribute to the development and implementation of data standards and metadata.
Support the migration of legacy systems to modern technologies and cloud platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
