Solutions Architect

Role Title: Power BI Solution Architect Location: Remote, Hybrid (Preferred: Eastern or Central Time Zones) Contract Type: W2 Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension) Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST Role Summary: We’re seeking a Power BI Solution Architect to lead the design and optimization of our analytics ecosystem within the Digital Quality organization. This role will play a critical part in shaping a scalable, governed Power BI architecture that delivers actionable insights across a GxP-regulated CDMO environment. You’ll drive the full lifecycle of data solutions—from ingestion and transformation to semantic modeling and visualization—ensuring alignment with business strategy and compliance requirements. Ideal candidates are highly self-driven professionals with a strong background in Power BI architecture and a passion for transforming data into decision-making tools. Key Responsibilities: • Design and build interactive, executive-ready Power BI dashboards using data from Quality systems such as TrackWise, Documentum, SharePoint, and SAP. • Translate business questions and Key Quality Indicators (KQIs) into compelling visual analytics to support operational and strategic decisions. • Evaluate and enhance current Power BI architecture, including ingestion pipelines, transformation logic (Power Query, Dataflows, Fabric), and semantic layer design. • Define and implement best practices for semantic models, dataset reuse, and gold-layer data models to support scalable self-service analytics. • Architect integration strategies with Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or other enterprise data platforms. • Establish governance frameworks and architectural patterns to ensure consistent, compliant reporting standards. • Partner with business and technical teams to align reporting architecture with broader Digital Quality goals. • Ensure high standards of visual clarity, usability, and performance in all reports and dashboards. • Support ad-hoc data exploration and analysis for Quality leadership. Qualifications: • 8+ years in data architecture, with 3+ years in enterprise-level Power BI architecture roles. • 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development, ideally in a GxP-regulated or life sciences setting. • Experience assessing and optimizing Power BI ecosystems, including architecture blueprinting, governance frameworks, and integration with Azure/Fabric. • Advanced proficiency with DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling techniques. • Strong track record of delivering executive-facing dashboards and data storytelling solutions. • Ability to operate independently in fast-paced, dynamic environments. • Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement, communication, and requirements gathering.
