Splunk Engineer/Administrator

Role : Splunk Engineer/Administrator Location : TX (Hybrid) Duration : 12+ Month Contract Role Description We are seeking a highly skilled Splunk Engineer/Administrator to join our team on a contract basis. This hybrid role is based in Houston, TX, with some flexibility for remote work. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Splunk infrastructure, managing system performance, developing dashboards and reports, and ensuring data accuracy. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, optimizing Splunk configurations, and providing guidance on best practices for data ingestion and visualization. Qualifications • Strong expertise in Splunk Engineering, Administration, and configuration management • Experience with data onboarding, parsing, and normalization for structured and unstructured data • Proven ability to develop dashboards, alerts, and visualizations to address business needs • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Shell, and other related technologies • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, system monitoring, and log management • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail • Ability to effectively collaborate in a hybrid work environment • Splunk certifications and experience in large-scale enterprise environments are a plus
