Job Title: Splunk and Power BI Data Visualization Specialist Job Type: 100% Remote Work Timing: Flexible PST Duration: 4 months Note: Who can apply • W2 candidates only • • Candidates must not require sponsorship at present or in future to work • Summary We are seeking a results-driven professional with strong experience in Splunk dashboarding and proficiency in Power BI to support our data analytics and reporting efforts. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining actionable dashboards to drive business insight, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Design, create, and manage advanced dashboards in Splunk to visualize system, application, and security data. Collaborate with stakeholders across IT and business teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective dashboard solutions. Develop and maintain alerting mechanisms, visualizations, and scheduled reporting in Splunk. Implement best practices for Splunk dashboard performance, scalability, and user experience. Leverage Power BI to supplement reporting needs, including building custom reports, integrating disparate data sources, and supporting ad-hoc data analysis. Support data pipeline processes to ensure accurate and timely delivery of data into Splunk and Power BI environments. Troubleshoot data inconsistencies/issues and identify ways to improve data quality and reliability. Provide training and support to team members and end-users on both Splunk and Power BI platforms. Requirements Required Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on experience with Splunk dashboarding, including Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL), report creation, and dashboard optimization. Working knowledge of Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and data modeling. Experience connecting to and visualizing data from multiple sources (e.g., databases, log files, APIs). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret complex data and translate into actionable insights. Excellent communication skills, with an ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Shell) for data manipulation Exposure to IT operations, cybersecurity, or cloud infrastructures Strong project management or Agile experience.
