Job Title- Spring Boot Senior Technical - Lifefray, OSGI Location – Remote Within USA Contract – 1+ year Mandatory Skills: Java, J2EE, Spring, extensive experience in Lifefray, OSGI, Service Builder, MVC Portlet, REST Services, Familiarity with CI/CD, Maven/Gradle, Git Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Java & Liferay Developer to design, build, and support enterprise‑scale portal and web applications using Liferay DXP and Java/J2EE technologies. This role requires strong hands‑on development skills, experience working with US‑based stakeholders, and the ability to deliver secure, scalable solutions in an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Liferay DXP (7.x) and Java/J2EE Develop and customize Liferay Portlets, Themes, OSGi modules, Services, and REST APIs Integrate Liferay with backend systems, third‑party applications, and external services Customize Liferay CMS, Workflows, Web Content, User Management, and Role‑based access Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical decision‑making Perform code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure high code quality Collaborate closely with US‑based product owners, business analysts, and UX teams Troubleshoot production issues and perform performance tuning and optimization Support application deployments, upgrades, and Liferay version migrations Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical documentation Required Qualifications Strong hands‑on experience with Java, J2EE, Spring (Boot/MVC), Hibernate/JPA. 5+ years of experience with Liferay DXP / Liferay Portal (6.x / 7.x). Solid understanding of OSGi framework and Liferay modular architecture. Experience developing RESTful web services and microservices. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, jQuery. Strong experience with Relational Databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL). Experience with Application Servers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Strong communication skills and ability to work with distributed teams. Nice to Have Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms. Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps practices. Liferay certifications Experience supporting US enterprise clients and production systems. Knowledge of security, accessibility (WCAG), and compliance standards.
