SQL Database Engineer/DeveloperCharlotte, NC (Hybrid – 3 days onsite ) Only Local W2 NO OPT/CPT/H1No C2C/C2h/1099 (Candidate with employers please do not apply) Job Description 10+ years Experience Seeking a SQL Developer (Software Engineer 4) to join our data engineering and reporting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database development, data integration, and performance tuning in an enterprise environment. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL Server databases (Version 2019). Create and optimize stored procedures, functions, triggers, and T-SQL scripts. Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using SSIS or similar tools. Develop and maintain Power BI and SSRS reports for business intelligence and analytics. Automate database change management and deployments using Liquibase. Conduct performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization for improved system efficiency. Collaborate with application developers, analysts, and business teams to support database needs. Ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance across multiple systems. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Database Management and SQL Development. Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (2019) and T-SQL. Experience with SSIS or other ETL tools for data movement and transformation. 3+ years of experience in Power BI or SSRS report development. Hands-on experience with Liquibase or other database deployment automation tools. Strong understanding of performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization techniques. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Charlotte, NC. Nice to Have: Experience with Azure SQL Database or Cloud-based data solutions. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for database deployment. Financial industry experience is a plus.
