SQL Developer

This is a contract position. It is a hybrid role, with 3 days in Vienna, VA office. In this role, you will: • Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects within SQL Server environments • Utilize advanced SQL techniques including joins, subqueries, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), and window functions to support data analysis and application functionality • Implement indexing strategies and performance tuning to ensure high-performing and scalable database solutions • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical specifications • Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams • Support and enhance procure-to-pay (P2P) systems, including data integration, reporting, and process optimization The skills we are looking for in this role include: • Strong SQL skills - very comfortable with joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions and indexing. Preference given to those with SQL Server background. • Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and vice versa. • Experience communicating technical terms to non-technical audiences. • Knowledge and experience with procure-to-pay systems and processes. • Coding (Python/R/JavaScript etc) experience is a plus. • Power BI and/or dashboard development experience
