We’re looking for an experienced SQL Developer to join a major data migration project with a leading organisation in the travel insurance sector.
This role will focus on migrating data between two core business systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and performance throughout the process.
Key Details
• Rate: £400 per day
• Location: Central London (hybrid working – on-site 2 days per week)
• Contract: Outside IR35
• Duration: 6 months (initial)
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
• Designing, developing, and optimising SQL scripts and stored procedures for large-scale data migration
• Mapping, transforming, and cleansing data between legacy and new travel insurance systems
• Ensuring data quality, validation, and reconciliation throughout the migration lifecycle
• Working closely with business analysts, system architects, and project managers to deliver a seamless transition
Skills and Experience
• Proven experience as a SQL Developer or Data Migration Specialist
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, views, and performance tuning
• Background in data migration, ETL, or system integration projects
• Experience working with insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries (preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
